And we have Poop...

in the potty!! Day 3 of potty training and he had 2 accidents (pee) but also pooped on the potty!!! I am very impressed.

Meanwhile, Paisley is quickly growing out of all her clothes and diapers I have hanging around ;) She is close to 17 lbs. already--wow!

For those that played the picture game, it is Griffin BUT it made you think, didn't it? I was amazed when I saw the picture to tell you the truth and I kNEW it was Griffin.

I'm 30 today. i am usually so psyched about my birthday but it is difficult to even notice this year with all that has been going on....anyhow that's me...30!

A New Baby...

not one of ours this time..thank the lord. haha. Our friends had their baby boy last night, little Graden. Congrats!! He was 3 weeks early but all is well.

case of the mondays alright....

apparently my kids did NOT want to venture into life this week quite yet. we are home sick again today....they are both on the mend thank god. I sure hope my psyche can be soon too.

Sick kid again...

This time it is baby girl :( Her first cold. I was warned at daycare last week that a 1-2 day virus was going around but I figured she had already been exposed when I was hearing of it. I sent her anyhow...well, she was exposed to something, somewhere. Who knows really where since I don't shelter her too much. Anyhow her poor little nose and she has a wee little cough. We are watching her and just gave her her first tylenol since she was a bit worn out and worked up. She finally fell asleep on Lee and they are downstairs now...we'll see how long daddy lasts holding her since she is a very heavy girl.

The rest of the weekend is going well...getting some things done around here, purging and stuff. I went to costco and TJ's also yesterday to stock up for my parents visit. I think it will be a grand time.

Today at 16 weeks (my four month mark for her) she is 16 lb. 3 oz. that is 95% for weight right now. There was another little chunky monkey at the group who is almost 6 months and weighs 16 lb. on the nose. sheesh....little P isn't so little, is she? ha.

Life is going well around here. A bit calmer. Griffin and Paisley are not really transitioning to the new time change though. Both are going to bed quite late and then dragging out of bed when the alarm goes off in the a.m. I hope this doesn't last much longer because I am beat.

Trip to the doctor

So, I hate going to the doctor. I hate taking my dog to the doctor. I hate taking my kids to the doctor. I do it because it is often the right thing to do, well check ups for a baseline, I buy that but seriously every other time it ends up a "waste" of time and money. I guess I go for reassurance or like today to be told he can go back to daycare but seriously, I already knew that....I'm a doctor so why can't I tell the sitter he can go back? ha. Anyhow, it is hand, foot, and mouth...he is no longer contagious, he will go back tomorrow, he is still being a PITA toddler but I love him ;)

I'm soooo tired though....

p.s. Griffin weighs 29 lbs. even (25%) with clothes and is 38 1/2 inches (90%) tall!! wow

this was my weekend. I got a call on friday afternoon to come get Griffin at daycare. He had a fever and was listless. It was his typical m.o. for being sick, lie on the couch, pass out at times, whine a little, but overall be a good little boy. This lasted all afternoon but by 7 p.m. he was up and at 'em and playing like nothing was wrong. Then the spots came, on his tongue....then they disappeared....now they are back. So, tomorrow a.m. we will head to the doctor to either confirm it is Hand, foot, and mouth disease or get reassurance he can go back to the daycare because it is nothing. I NEED to work...I guess Lee will take off on tuesday and work from home if needed, then I'm off on wednesday....but I HAVE to work...this is getting ridiculous.

The snow...best guesstimate of 16+ inches. Lee dug the car out yesterday so he could go to his haircut. It took him an hour and he barely got it out in time to also take a shower and get to the salon. It continued to snow all day yesterday so by this a.m. there was at least another 6 inches behind him in the drive. My car was completely buried and the end of our driveway had been plowed in by the snow trucks. So, today Lee spent 2 hours digging us both out. What a guy :) He is promptly buying a snow blower after this season. Of course they may be hard to come by considering places are out of salt until wednesday!! The snow is soooo cool, all over, huge mounds and our AWD car handles beautifully. The sun was out today so it made it VERY bright.

Pasiley, oh Paisley. Not sure what is up with her....still a darling little girl. I think she was not feeling great yesterday but today she seemed better. Of course she has started this yelling thing. We aren't sure if she has just found her voice or if she is learning how to get our attention or if she just wants to be held (spoiled thing). At any rate, it's a tad annoying after hours of it. lol.

gotta go stuff easter eggs for my women's club. I am in a huge debate over whether to join this group again next year and this is a perfect example as to why I should pass :)

So much snow...

you would think it was Christmas time...seriously, it should not snow this much in the month of my birthday. I can't say I"m sick of it like most people around me. I'm a bit sick of being so cold but I really do like the snow. I just don't think it should do it so much in March...December, January, February but lighten up in march gosh darnit.

we are all under the weather again. It stinks but luckily we have a quiet weekend planned at home.

Paisley had her first week (only 2 days) at daycare this week. She did wonderful! I think it is going to be soooo great. I'm very pleased with the situation so far. Still nervous about Griffin going there but not because of the sitter, just the change for him. It will actually probably be wonderful for him as I've noticed many differences in parenting styles as he has gotten older with his current sitter. She treats him well but I often think that he has to "keep it together" there so much so that he kind of loses it once he gets home. Maybe that is just daycare but I'm not convinced. She is very regimented there which is good for G but maybe not as much as she can be. anyhow, I digress..the new place will be a new adventure for him and if I knwo my kidlet he will do great :)

Paisley...snow day

I'm tired....

I went to bed last night before Griffin. Paisley was being a bit difficult to settle and he was being loud so I just laid down with P. Next thing I knew it was the middle of the night and I was still lying there with her. So, I got a LOT of sleep but I am still tired....amazing how emotions can make you tired! wow. The bad news keeps pouring in so keep up the positive thoughts...thanks.
